Oh man...

So yesterday Jon and I just kind of took our time and studied for the Accuplacer Test at TMCC (Truckee Meadows Community College) where we will be starting out this fall. Well, I helped Jon with his Math and I thought I was going to be all good until we got to the College Math Section..oh my goodness..I seriously needed my soul (a paper that we had in pre-calc in highschool that helped soooooo much on everything). But then I decided that it would be better to start out lower and review stuff in a class then get into like pre-calculus again and just fail out. But then we get to the test and I'm feeling pretty good about the English portion, except my computer (the only one in the entire lab) was making a beeping noise that they told me couldn't be turned off. So I was all distracted and what not. I didn't do too bad, I hate writing on the spot essays and so I did okay on that section. And then it comes to the Math section, I had maybe two easy ones out of twenty! Yeah! All of them were College Math questions! I had noooo idea! And when I would do it the way that I was suppose to, the answers were all jacked up. It was just bad..So can you say- yeah, Sara is going to be in first grade Math!

Luckily though, I already have English 101 done with so even though I'm horrible at writing, I don't have to start out low.

But man, Jon schooled me in everything! He even got a point more than me in Math and that's not even his subject he's good at! He got like 18 more points than me in English and his essay was in their words- amazing. He is seriously going to have to help me in English and I'll probably have to help him in Math, if he ever stops being a genius! My goodness, I certainly married above me for sure.

Then after that we just ran a few errands and went to the pool. Then being the wonderful husband he is, he watched SYTYCD with me. He even listened to me yell at the stupid judges when they praised idiot dancers. (aka- Robert, I hate him with the passion of a thousand burning suns.) Like really, he gets paired with an amazing all-star and choreographer! He doesn't even dance the dance that great and then he pulls the sympathy card on everyone. He is so annoying! The whole dance was suppose to be about Travis and his mom and Robert turned it into- feel sorry for me and everything my mom's been through. His mother is fine now! He should have let it be Travis' shining moment as a choreographer with such an intense, beautiful piece. Ugh..I just can't stand him. I hope he is in the bottom three so he gets kicked off. He's been in the bottom three for like three weeks! There's a reason for that judges! KICK HIM OFF! They keep just weeding them out, and he NEEDS to be gone. Well. That's my opinion. Tootle Loo.

Parents Are Gone...

So today my dad and I went to the silk plants outlet! Way cool! Jon and I are going to go sometime when we know what kind of plants we want to get to finalize our house decor. After that, we went to pick up Mom from the apartment and they took me grocery shopping. I don't even know where I am going to store all of the stuff. I think I may need to rearrange our apartment a little bit to make some room for food! So excited! Thanks Mom and Dad!!! They are the best!

We then went to pick Jon up on his lunch break for some yummy lunch from Fuddruckers, again :), and I took Mom into Scheels where she tried different kinds of yummy fudge! Next time they visit, we will make time for Gelato! Dad, Mom, and I then went to get pedicures! Where I was told by a very good salesman nail technician that my toes are perfect for french tip ($10 more) haha.

But he was a nice guy who was pretty hilarious. We then came home and packed Mom and Dad up and they were on there way to go over to spend some time with Aunt Mary and Uncle Dan!

The past few days have just been full of fun and adventures! I love my parents sooooo much and we cannot wait to see them, as well as everyone in the family, next month for Jayne's baptism! Such a special day, and we get to spend it with our special princess and family!

Man, just gotta love the family and all the fun we have together!

Parents Are Here..

So my parents came into town yesterday morning. Jon had to work all day yesterday, so my parents went to church with me. It was interesting.. haha, but fun! We had a great dinner last night- cooked by yours truly- and had great conversation! I really have missed my parents. They are such amazing people! They told us all about the Central Coast wide Youth Conference they just put on and how everything went great! We were so happy for them! They put so much hard work into it!

Today my parents and I went and did some shopping and had fun, like old times, and then we had lunch at Fuddruckers with Jon on his lunch break! It was great! Soooo delicious!

My mom and I just layed out at the pool for a bit. While Dad took a nap on our very small couch. He is so funny/cute. Now we are going to pick up Jon from work and go take Mom and Dad up to see the beautiful Lake Tahoe! We are very excited to be able to spend time with them, even if it is just for a few days!!!!

Exciting Stuff Right There...

Well, Jon has to work today...bummer.

Mom and Dad Abbott are on there way here!!! So excited to see them!! It's been about a month and a half since we've seen them. But we get to see them next month too at Jayne's baptism. And then for Thanksgiving down in SLO. But I'm more than ecstatic to see them this time! I miss my mom and dad.

We are going to have a ton of fun the next day or two. The are leaving, I believe, Tuesday morning. So that's kind of a bummer, but they have to get back to their busy lives. So I guess it's okay. :)

Well. Jon and I talked about it yesterday, and for my sanity's sake, I'm going to get a job! I'm going to apply at some restaurants around the area. Since I like to help people and I like food. Why not?! So yeah, wish me luck!

I should probably finish cleaning up the house before Mom and Dad get here!

Once Upon A Time...

Jon and I met in SLO where we were living at the time and became best friends from the first night. We just got along so well and trusted one another's opinion. We dated exclusively for 3 months when we got engaged. And 5 months later, we were married. We've been married now for almost 2 months and life couldn't be better.

Our life so far has been a fun adventure. We are learning new things every day about one another. It's fun to go through life with your best friend by your side.

Jon is working at a pretty great job. It's just a lot of work on his end. He is doing such a great job there though! He's really helping them out and learning a lot about people!

We will be starting school in the fall. Jon will be going into Human Resources through the business degree route and then going into leadership consulting.

I will be going into Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Preschool! We are both so excited to get back into school and get going on life!

Everything is so wonderful! We are really blessed.
